A questionnaire survey was conducted on guardians(mothers and fathers), who are users of e-portfolios, of children in preschools and international schools(primary level)that utilized e-portfolios. The results of this survey indicated that while the guardian viewing frequency and comment responses were low, communication with childcare workers was high and relationships with children were transformed. A high percentage of guardians(74%)answered that they could monitor progress and growth in their children. Given these results, it is thought that a process where “data are visualized and corresponding comments made”should be generated. This will allow guardians to consistently check their children’s growth and development. Furthermore, regarding the question prompt, “There has been an increase in opportunities to speak with the institution(school), childcare workers, and teachers,”62% of guardians either responded that“changes had occurred”or“changes had occurred to a partial degree.”From these results, we can see that the usage of Storypark promotes mutual communication and positively influences relationship building.
