The number of university students who have some problems which need other's help has increased. The purpose of this study is to examine the new roles about student counseling in our new university which changed from thejunior college to the university.We conducted the survey on students who came to my student counseling between 2008 and 2010. In the junior college, most of them had problems related to their school life and their course. While in the university, their problems mainly focused on themselves. The hesitation might be caused in the university selection if they thought about themselves. An increase in the student apathy and the truancy will be feared in the future. As results, the same tendency as other university student has happened also at our university. And our university will increase the number of students in the future.
